Designed specifically for situations where bars cannot be turned, bent, or threaded, pressed couplers utilize mobile hydraulic pressing equipment to crimp a seamless structural steel sleeve directly onto the rebar ends.

Under hydraulic swaging pressure, the ductile coupler sleeve plastically deforms into the deformations and ribs of the reinforcement bars, forming an interlocking joint with mechanical tensile and compressive load continuity. This makes pressed couplers the preferred engineering solution for starter bar extensions, column retrofit works, repair of short-cut bars, and heavily congested reinforcement cages where threading machinery cannot physically reach.
